L.A. Story – Koray Birand captures Mini Anden in sunny Los Angeles for the February cover shoot of Harper’s Bazaar Turkey. Styled by Lisa Michelle Boyd, Mini wears sexy silhouettes from the spring collections in a poolside setting. Soft waves by hair stylist Tuan Anh Tran and a plum lip by makeup artist Darlene Jacobs give a dark edge to the brunette’s glam look.
I love the styling. That last image is beautiful too!
Not to make the claim that I could do better but this is really one of those “been there, done that” kinda editorials. It’s really so cliché considering the location. And that first shot after the jump – who (with money and/or resources) HASN’T photographed the very same perspective? I’m a fan of Koray Birand and I love Mini Anden; I just feel that this could’ve been much better.
I’m a sucker for this type of editorial.

L.A. Story? … A story about a model in a house… Oh, OK then.
It’s so nice to see a fair skinned brunette in such an exotic environement for a change. don’t get me wrong, I love beachy blonds, but I think that these pictures are otherwise more interesting.
Agree that the location and shots are maybe getting played out, but with Mini in there it all look new again–and better.
Amazing, somehow modern yet vintagey at the same time.
Very sophisticated and beautiful! I love it!

So glad it wasn’t just me – I was thinking “Have I seen this editorial before? Because I recognise that house…”. I love it – it so modern – but I also think it makes the shots look a little bit “same-y”. Maybe not a bad thing because “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”….
