David Koma’s vision for Mugler’s fall-winter 2016 collection started off warrior strong with leather dresses featuring body-hugging silhouettes and strips in place of skirts. Jackets with crocodile lapels add some texture as did leopard spots in silver and black. Pants are slim fit while touches of fringe adorn bags and mini skirts.
It is not all leather and bodycon though. The Mugler woman shows her softer side in color-blocked satin skirts with asymmetrical cut–relaxed and flowy. For the finale, it is back to black with Joan Smalls closing the show with a black gown featuring a high slit and top-stitching at the waist.
