Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman graces the summer 2016 cover of T Magazine. The 35-year-old is making her directorial debut this year with the film ‘A Tale of Love and Darkness’. Inside the magazine, Natalie wears a mix of cozy cardigan sweaters and bikinis photographed by Craig McDean. The Dior ambassador poses in the designs of Max Mara, Solid & Striped, Vionnet and more styled by Max Pearmain.
In the accompanying article, Natalie opens up about being called sad by her ex-boyfriends in an email exchange with author Jonathan Safran Foer. She writes, “An ex-boyfriend of mine used to call me ‘Moscow,’ because he said I was always looking out the window sadly, like ‘‘Moscow,’’ like some Russian novel or Chekhov play. Clearly there were grounds for this ex getting fired, but he did have a point — I have that longing, yearning, it’s-better-over-there tendency.”
