Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia debuted their first designs for Oscar de la Renta with the brand’s fall-winter 2017 collection. As with Raf Simons at Calvin Klein days before, the pair ushered in a new era for the fashion house. The show opened with tailored pieces in black including a black jumpsuit and cigarette pants.
As the presentation progressed, Kim and Garcia offered up color with vibrant hues ranging from red, pink and orange. The silhouette of the season focused on strapless necklines paired with flouncy skirts and asymmetrical cuts. The cocoon coat was also another standout piece on the runway. When it came to evening wear, floral embroidery and draped silhouettes took over. It girl Bella Hadid closed the show in a strapless velvet number decorated with silver embroidery.
