Seeing Stripes

Prints got optical at the spring collections with some labels showing striped looks. From traditional black and white to almost a rainbow combination of hues, the pattern took the spotlight during Paris Fashion Week. At Balmain, Olivier Rousteing created colorful jumpsuits and dresses with multi-colored stripes.

Seeing Stripes–At Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci presented a gothic outing for spring, featuring short and flirty dresses as well as cross motifs. But black and white stripes were also a focus for the designer.

Seeing Stripes–French designer and one of the last true showman in fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier, presented his final ready-to-wear collection at Paris Fashion Week for spring. Amongst his greatest hits included striped suits and pants.

Seeing Stripes–The spring runway show at Giambattista Valli also tapped into the stripe trend with a slightly seventies vibe. From vertical to horizontal, the Valli band of girls also wore bands decorated randomly on their trousers.
