A Tour of New York – For Paule Ka’s resort 2013 collection, designer Serge Cajfinger found inspiration in the story of a woman visiting New York City with an outing of ladylike silhouettes. Shot near the Hudson River, the Paule Ka woman wears a wardrobe influenced by Big Apple landmarks such as the Chrysler Building, the MoMA and Central Park. Color blocking and graphic patterns bring to mind New York’s sleek architecture while casual shorts and crop tops evoke the urban pace. Based in neutral hues but paired with bright accents such as canary yellow, lavender and orange; the transitional season is a harmonious marriage of elegance and youthful freedom.
