Actress Alicia Vikander lands the January 2016 cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK. The star of ‘The Danish Girl’ poses for Alexi Lubomirski in romantic looks from top brands like Celine, Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney. In her interview, she opens up about quitting ballet dancing at 18-years-old.

Alicia says, “I think I knew deep down that I wouldn’t be able to dance until [I was] thirty-something. I still have a really bad back, and… but it wasn’t just that. First of all, I don’t think I wanted to live my life as a dancer. It’s hard, and I realised I really loved to dance and be on stage, but it’s also three, four hours of training every day to do that, to be on that level.”

She continues, “I could sometimes be a bit sad, and I was quite hard on myself and jealous emotionally of some of the girls who I saw just loved it.”
