Known for hiding her face, singer Sia is the cover subject of Interview’s April 2015 issue where she hides her features using wigs and accessories for a fashionable disguise. Photographed by Gregory Harris and styled by Elin Svahn, Sia wears looks from designer labels including Alexander Wang, Viktor & Rolf Couture and Alexander McQueen. Sia is quite private and says this Interview article is her fourth interview she has done.
About not showing her face, Sia tells the magazine, “People say, ‘Enough of this s–t where she doesn’t show her face’…I’m trying to do this differently, for serenity,” she states. “And it’s a fun game for me as well. I have nothing to lose. But of course I want to be loved. So when people say, ‘Show your face, you’re not ugly.’ I want to say, ‘I know. I’m not doing it because I think I’m ugly; I’m trying to have some control over my image. And I’m allowed to maintain some modicum of privacy.”
