Presented during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, Miuccia Prada showed the pre-fall 2016 womenswear collection alongside mens looks. This season included a nautical theme with models wearing sailor hats and tailored coats in relaxed shapes. While other designers may go into obvious territories of stripes or a navy and white color combo, Prada steered a different course. Working with artist Christophe Chemin, many pieces featured eclectic imagery and prints—ranging from giraffes to fruit on menswear inspired shirting. The slouchy silhouettes are paired with platform sandals or oxfords and knitwear stockings.
