On the final day of New York Fashion Week, Ralph Lauren unveiled his fall-winter 2016 collection with a runway show that featured glamorous looks for day and night. Karlie Kloss opened the show on a relaxed note wearing a beige blouse, cardigan and slouchy trousers. What followed was menswear inspiration with ties, double breasted suit jackets and culottes similar to Diane Keaton’s ‘Annie Hall’ look which featured a few pieces from the American designer. The Ralph Lauren woman adds some attitude to her wardrobe with fringe adorned capes, ruffle adorned minidresses and even a moto jacket. For evening wear, a parade of pleated velvet gowns with flowing shapes in jewel tones dazzled. But the real showstopper was a gown made of iridescent gold fabric that commands attention from all angles.
