Cavalli’s Full-on Glamour – Roberto Cavalli delivered a collection of femininity and toughness for his spring 2012 collection presented in Milan earlier today. Using a dark color palette paired with pastel prints, the Cavalli woman sports intricate detailing with sequin embroidered blazers and dresses for the new season. The showing also included seductive floor length gowns printed with wild animal prints, uneven stripes and sheer lace. Beauty for the catwalk included a messy up-do and smoky eye for a dramatic effect.
Curious to see what stylists will come up with when this collection hits magazines!
Everything is extremely dressy. I can’t see this working well for the “average” person.
Most interesting, most complex, most detailed and most haute of all the MFW shows.
I have looked at it a dozen times, the off kilter tailored jackets, the unexpected flowing floral skirts, the sharp sequined slacks, the animal motifs and the faux animal skins – a show where the individual parts are wonderful and their juxtaposition is extraordinary.
Despite the flashiness elsewhere (let alone a lot of trite. boring shows) this is the outstanding show of the season (so far)!
I totally agree with you! I would wear every piece of this collection… It reminds me of Gustav Klimt’s paintings a lot!
when i see a collection even how intricate or simple it is, i always break it down thinking if it would be great if i would pair it with a simple white t-shirt or a pair of jeans or with a great pair of killer shoes. and this collection greatly passed that test.
either a piece of jacket or a pair of pants from this collection, it would surely make everything looking fabulous and gorgeous.
surely the best way to look glamorous.
a great way to frock into a summer evening.
love it!

I can sooo imagine ADR getting on board this train. Love the colour palette, great combo with the metallics.

Beautiful and so Cavalli but it could be from the last year or back few years, too. Can’t find the “ss 2012” thing in it.

its good, but rather Givenchy in places (which of course isn’t a bad thing, but it is inferior to actual Givenchy)
