Marking the arrival of creative director Paul Surridge, Italian label Roberto Cavalli’s spring-summer 2018 campaign takes a new direction. The advertisements star Dutch model Birgit Kos captured on location in California’s Simy Valley. Photographed by Zoe Ghertner, the images celebrate nature with rocks, dirt and dry grass. The new season spotlights animal prints, sleek bags as well as belted coats.

“For my first advertising campaign for the brand, I wanted to work with an all-female team, which could better interpret the fiercely independent attitude of the Roberto Cavalli woman.” says Paul Surridge. “We opted for an outdoor set and natural light to capture an unfiltered, spontaneous, unpredictable moment infused with powerful energy”.
