Self-Portrait unveils its first bag collection and spotlights the Bow bag with a campaign starring Naomi Campbell. The iconic model poses for photos that are reminiscent of the 1990s. More specifically, the images pay homage to Brandy and Monica’s hit R&B song ‘The Boy is Mine’. Renell Medrano took the photographs, and it shows the British beauty posing with mini and micro versions of the handbags.

The designs are available in several colors, including blue, black, pink, white, pistachio, and others. The adornment takes the form of a bow decorated with diamanté or gold hardware. Prices start at $365 and go up to $495. A classic design crafted from Napa leather, the Bow bag features a top carry handle, an adjustable shoulder strap, and a magnetic snap closure on the bag’s front flap.

When thinking about how to launch the Bow Bag, I was feeling quite nostalgic and reflective of the past and kept being drawn to the nineties, an era when fashion was sweet yet tough, and heavily influenced by music. The origins for this campaign came from such a simple idea born out of a play on words with the name of our new bag.
