Singer Miley Cyrus has seemed to cover just about every glossy out there. From Harper’s Bazaar to W Magazine and most recently–Elle, publications have been clamoring for more. WWD has revealed that teen-geared magazine Seventeen wanted a Miley cover, but it was not approved by the star. “She’s very, very selective when it comes to magazine covers,” says a source close to her camp. “Miley declined Seventeen and denied being a part of it, completely.” Which makes sense considering her recent foray into the high fashion scene.
Despite the denial, Seventeen will still be pushing out a cover with the “Wrecking Ball” singer anyways using stock photos and write-ups without an approved interview. Why all this for Miley? “The reason is simple: She sells magazines. Cosmo’s March 2013 issue featuring her on the cover sold 1.1 million copies on the newsstand,” writes WWD’s David Yi.
