Red Hot Florals
Florals are always on trend for the spring-summer season, but with 2016 many designers embraced red blooms with poppies, carnations and more flowers. Instead of pastels, it is all about red hot florals for the upcoming spring. At Carolina Herrera, the designer was all about pink but she offered a hint of red for the runway show along with a floral texture.
Red Hot Florals—Michael Kors paid tribute to the poppy flower with his spring 2016 collection which balanced an act between feminine frills and androgynous relaxation. The designer decorated skirts and dresses in the floral bloom.

Perfect Pleats
Another trend that took over the New York runways for spring 2016 was pleats. The detail can easily get dated, but designers made it modern by keeping pleats small for a micro finish. From side-paneling to all over accents, you will definitely be seeing plenty of pleats next spring. At Tommy Hilfiger, the designer brought a caribbean flair to pleats with these tropical prints.
