The New 60s

Fashion brands looked to sixties mod style for inspiration with shift dresses, kitschy prints and go-go boots. Making it modern, labels offer now embellishments with metallics, jacquard and more. House of Holland’s fall runway show gave today’s party girl a hint of sixties glam with bold patterns and miniskirts.

The New 60s–With a runway show set at a psych ward circa the 1960s, Dean & Dan Caten gave an outing of mod-inspired shapes for DSquared2’s fall runway show. Swing coats, graphic prints and helmet hats have all the makings of a sixties wardrobe.

The New 60s–Hedi Slimane softened the Saint Laurent girl’s edge with a Paris Fashion Week presentation that looked towards sixties rock and roll style for inspiration. Mini skirts paired with silver knee-high boots and luxe embellishments made this one of Slimane’s strongest outings yet.

The New 60s–At Gucci’s fall show, creative director Frida Giannini’s A-line skirts and glossy knee-high boots gave the house a sixties slant with a luxe finish. Pretty pastels and crystal adornments make this one of Milan Fashion Week’s standout collections.
