Andreja Pejic has made history as the first transgender face of cosmetics brand Make Up Forever (and according to some accounts, the first transgender model to ever land a beauty contract). Using the tagline: “Be Bold. Be Unexpected. Be You”, the new campaign will also feature actress Jamie Chung.

This past year has been a milestone time for the transgender community. First, model Hari Nef was signed by IMG Models, then Caitlyn Jenner graced the July cover of Vanity Fair and now this. Andreja has described the new contract as a “dream” in a recent interview with WWD.

    1. Actually, Tracy Africa Norman was the first transgender woman to land a beauty campaign circa the 70s with Avon, only she wasn’t ‘out’ as a transgender woman.
