For Valentino’s fall-winter 2015 haute couture show, creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli traveled on a journey to Rome—a city full of illustrious history and even the place where Valentino Garavani founded the label decades ago. The city of wonders offered plenty of inspiration for the designers with a runway show boasting of midnight black and vibrant red hues with goddess-like draping fit for Venus herself. Gowns, crowns and jewelry dipped in gold add a luxuriousness to the couture season while more minimal styles evoke a timeless elegance. Romantic yet refined, this is one of the Valentino duo’s best couture collections yet.
