Say goodbye to those sexy catalogs. Victoria’s Secret’s parent company L brands has announced a decision to stop selling swimsuits and apparel as well as end its iconic print catalogs. According CNBC, the new move is part of a major restructuring in order to appeal to millennial consumers.
The announcement may come as a surprise to those familiar with the brand. Known for going to vacation destinations such as Hawaii, St. Barth and the Caribbean with its catalogs, the apparel brand recently released three swim catalogs this year and also had a television special which aired in March on CBS. In lieu of swimwear, the company will instead focus on its lingerie and cosmetics. But for those who are fans of Victoria’s Secret’s swimwear and apparel, it is not all bad news. Its younger line Pink will still include bathing suits and clothing.
