Lana Del Rey Stars in Manga-Inspired Shoot for Numéro Tokyo by Mariano Vivanco

Songbird Lana – Appearing in another fashion glossy, songstress Lana Del Rey poses in a manga inspired spread for the March issue of Numéro Tokyo. Photographed by Mariano Vivanco with styling by Miranda Almond, Lana stars in a colorful, fantastical backdrop in standout spring looks from the likes of Chanel, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli and Prada. Hair stylist Pamela Cochrane and makeup artist Anna Cofone create the brunette’s dreamy beauty looks.

      It’s utilizing classic shoujo imagery. If you can’t see it in the set design or the styling then that’s your own issue. Bye hater.

    I love Lana and I like the concept behind this shoot (I definitely see the Shoujo genre in this!), but for some reason the styling doesn’t quite come together for me! The hair and makeup are great, but I feel like the clothes, props, and backgrounds are all too disparate. These mixed media efforts can look really cheesy really fast.

    this is Manga inspired i can totally see it and anyone who cant is straight blind lol but inspiration is just that…inspiration isn’t duplication its recreation
