Styled by Vanessa Coyle in lightweight garments from Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren and Alexander Wang, Carmen is ready to battle the elements.

    1. Oh jeez, how many editorials (and ad campaigns) like this are we going to see? The hot sun, dry desert, neutral palette thing is getting done to death. I’m just surprised there’s no Balmain. Also, her facial expression(s) is/are extremely repetitive in this shoot.

      • Yeah, we could use a little variety here. Like, maybe somebody could do a desert editorial, but use really bright clothes? Or maybe neutral styling in a really bright environment! Just a thought…

    23. I'm not really sure I get the styling here. Is it desert storm army inspired, or is it utilitarian workwear, or is it desert evening. Though I think these outfits are individually interesting I don't see a unifying theme, which is a problem with a lot of these "neutral" editorials in which stylists combine different stories to create one look that really isn't all that cohesive.
